Taking the bull of 40 by its horns!
A landmark year in many ways.
For your skin too.
The youthful tightness, suppleness and flawlessness of the 20s and 30s starts to visibly reduce. This is when fine lines start to show up, frown lines deepen and the skin starts getting pigmented or displaying age spots. It can be scary. But, it need not be.
No woman likes to see an older, aging version of herself in the mirror. I don’t either!
When I hit the 40-milestone a couple of years ago, I decided that I would use as many natural products as possible rather than splurge on expensive beauty creams and lotions and serums to ensure my skin didn’t get ragged and wrinkly.
Guess where that road led to? Yes, you are right. My kitchen. Everything was there. I just had to know how to use it.
Then began a fascinating journey into exploring the beautifying power of our familiar kitchen ingredients, which had more to them than met the eye (or rather, the taste buds!)
And I understood that, yes, with perseverance and patience, I could not just slow down but also reverse the early signs of aging.
Don’t get me wrong. I believe in embracing all phases of life that the Almighty has blessed us with. But, who said aging means looking dowdy? Looking older than what you feel on the inside?
But I also realized one thing – there wasn’t one go-to place where I could get all the beauty recipes, tips and tricks in one compact place. I had to jump from website to website, from one YouTube channel to another.
